Tooth-Colored Fillings

For minor damages to teeth, typically caused by decay, we recommend tooth-colored fillings to prevent future fracture or breakdown of enamel. Unlike silver amalgam fillings which can split a tooth further after many years of use or cause sensitivity due to extreme temperature changes, tooth-colored composite-based dental fillings are made from a resin. This mixture of glass and plastic is shaded, molded and shaped inside of the tooth, preventing the need to modify existing enamel to make it fit. Even though it’s metal-free, you can expect it to last up to 10 years.

Dental Crowns

When teeth are significantly damaged or a dental filling is no longer enough to effectively prevent a tooth from breaking down further, a dental crown can be customized and placed over the top of the tooth. Crowns are used to not only restore damaged teeth, but also cover dental implants and create bridges and dentures. Made from durable porcelain materials, you can expect 10 to 15 years of use out of your restoration.
